Out and about with scout january 3rd 2022

Another cold, damp day which meant owing to my chest condition we only did a swift one and a half miles on Dere Street, the old Roman Road, south of West Auckland. The most notable feature today being how quiet and devoid of wild life it was. Normally there is plenty of bird life ranging from Canada Geese on the nearby ponds to the normal hedge row bird such as Blue Tits and sparrows. I'm guessing they were all keeping their heads down and sheltering from the weather.
